Problem Note 35932: Data load fails when experiencing "ERROR: ORACLE EXECUTE ERROR: ORA-04022: NOWAIT REQUESTED, BUT HAD TO WAIT TO LOCK DICTIONARY OBJECT"
A SAS® Merchandise Data Integration loads fails at the end of the load when the following error is encountered:
ERROR: ORACLE EXECUTE ERROR: ORA-04022: NOWAIT REQUESTED, BUT HAD TO WAIT TO LOCK DICTIONARY OBJECT.
This error is a known Oracle defect, which Oracle is still in the process of fixing. To get past this error, execute the following SQL command against your database, and then recycle the database:
ALTER SYSTEM SET events=’44444 trace name context forever, level 100’;
Executing this code can reduce the frequency of the error, but the error might still reoccur. No other circumvention is available at this time.
