On an HP OpenVMS Itanium system, SAS^® 9.2 (a 64-bit application) requires 64-bit Oracle client libraries for SAS/ACCESS Interface to Oracle. However, Oracle does not provide 64-bit Oracle client libraries on this platform. The only version available is a 32-bit client.
