Problem Note 35701: Not all e-mail failures are recorded in the audit log or broadcast summary

SAS® Digital Marketing reports e-mail failure deliveries that occur because of e-mail server connection problems in the broadcast log. However, they are not reported in the E-mail failures column in the broadcast summary or in the audit log.

If you see an error that is similar to the following in the broadcast log, then this has occurred:

 NODE="xxxx.xxx.xxx.com"
Sending failed;
  nested exception is:
        class javax.mail.MessagingException: Could not connect to SMTP host:
yyy.yyy.com, port: zz
[ERROR@YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss.xxx] Aborting send to "aaaaaa@bbbbbbbb.com" after 7
tries.
[EXCEPTION@YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss.xxx]
