You can use the SAS Deployment Manager to remove an existing configuration.
To run this tool, go to the directory C:\Program Files\SAS\SASDeploymentManager\9.2. Then, double-click the config.exe file to launch the SAS Deployment Manager.
When the Choose Language window appears, click OK to accept English.
Next, select Remove Existing Configuration from the
Select Configuration Task window of the SAS Deployment Manager, as shown below:
When the tool finishes running, delete your configuration folder, called C:\SAS.
Also, verify that all of your SAS services have been removed, before you proceed to rerun
the configuration phase a second time.
Note: Be sure you create a complete backup of your system and any associated SAS metadata
before removing a configuration. For details on backup practices, see
"Best Practices for Backing Up and Restoring Your System".
If you are removing a server, you might want to stop the server (or its associated service), although this is not required. However, you must stop the object spawner if you are removing one of the servers that it runs.
Additional details on removing an existing SAS 9.2 configuration, can be found in SAS documentation
in "Managing Your SAS Deployment" of the
SAS® 9.2 Intelligence Platform Installation and Configuration Guide.
Pay special attention to the subsections "Removing a SAS Configuration."
After you remove the configuration, you might need to take one of the following
additional steps, depending on the reason for the removal:
- Run the SAS Deployment Wizard to create a new configuration.
For details, see "Configuring SAS Products."
- Uninstall the associated software (if you will no longer be using the component on
the current machine, or if you will be reinstalling the software on the current machine).
For details, see "Overview of Uninstalling the SAS Intelligence
Platform" .
