Problem Note 35761: The "Launch SAS® Warranty Analysis Client" link from the SAS® Information Delivery Portal fails after upgrading the JRE to version 1.6.0_07
The Launch SAS Warranty Analysis Client link from the SAS Information Delivery Portal fails to start the SAS Warranty Analysis rich client using Java Web Start after upgrading the JRE to 1.6.0_07 or higher. Sun fixed a security hole by not allowing JNLP clients (Java Web Start) to read the location of the cached JAR area (where the downloaded JAR files are stored).
For more information see bug report 6725426 at the Bug Database
Community.
The Launch SAS Warranty Analysis Client link from the portal works with the following JDK and JRE versions:
- JDK and JRE 6 Update 6 and earlier
- JDK and JRE 5.0 Update 15 and earlier
- SDK and JRE 1.4.2_17 and earlier
