Problem Note 35705: Access to the JDBC Explorer in SASĀ® Digital Marketing Studio is not controlled
The JDBC Explorer Console within SAS Digital Marketing Studio is currently available to all level-4 administrators by default.
This is considered a security risk.
Access to the JDBC Explorer in SAS Digital Marketing Studio should be controllable.
Only certain level-4 administrators should be permitted access to the JDBC Explorer.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
The hot fix provides a means to control access to the JDBC Explorer. To disable access, an administrator should add the following line to the file,
!SDMROOT\config\server.properties:
DisableJDBCExplorer=true
This property can only be set by directly editing this file; the option is not displayed in the Advanced Server Properties tab in the Server Configuration dialog box. Once set to true, the JDBC explorer button remains visible in the UI, but if selected, returns the following error and prevents access:
The JDBC Explorer has been disabled by your administrator
