Usage Note 35529: Eclipse might hang when testing an improperly defined JDBC connection
When building a new project, you have the option to test JDBC connections. If you define a JDBC connection by using the IOM driver, and then try to connect to a SAS/SHARE® server, Eclipse might hang. This problem occurs because the SAS/SHARE server does not return a response that the IOM driver recognizes.
When defining a JDBC connection, be sure that the driver that you select corresponds with the server that you are connecting to.
