Usage Note 35423: SAS® installation fails with setup or registration errors
When attempting to install SAS®, you might experience an installation failure with an error like the following:
Further, if you examine your "sasinstall_mmddyyy_ordernumber.log" file, you might notice the following:
ERROR: Setup was unable to self-register sas.exe
FONTS: Error unloading font resource batang.ttc
FONTS: Error unloading font resource gulim.ttc
ERROR: Setup was unable to self-register sas.exe.

These errors might indicate that your SAS Software Depot is bad or that it has become corrupted.
To work around these errors, download your SAS order again, and then attempt to
rerun setup.exe from your SAS Software Depot location to install SAS.

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.

This means you have a bad SAS Software Depot.
