Problem Note 35272: A Java exception error message might occur when selecting the link versionHistory in the Customer Account window

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

When attempting to select the link of a column named "versionHistory" on the Customer/Account Result window, a Java.lang.ClassCastException is generated. The following message is displayed:

An unexpected error has occurred in the application.
Please have an administrator review the system log.
Details:
java.lang.ClassCastException: java.lang.String incompatible with
java.lang.Integer

The problem is due to some missing data in the user interface metadata file, fsk_ui_column. As a result, it is not possible to view the version history for that customer's accounts.

The following workaround is available.

The format_modifier_text column needs to have additional text added to what is there for two of the records:

  1. The two records are where column_ui_name = "versionHistory" and table_ui_name = "partyAccountBridge" and "householdPartyBridge"
  2. The format_modifier_text values for these two records need to have ":changeBeginDate" inserted after the "&value=2" text that already exists in this column.
  3. Save the changes to the database.
  4. No restart of the Web application server should be necessary.

To continue working with the application now, click the Back button.
