Problem Note 35217: "WARN - Unable to find replacement for xxx" when importing OLAP-based information maps from SAS® 9.1.3 to SAS 9.2
When importing an OLAP-based information map from SAS 9.1.3 to SAS 9.2, the import log might contain warning messages that are similar to the following:
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "PRDSAL2 (Cube)", with name of "PRDSAL2".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "PREDICTAVG (Measure)", with name of "PREDICTAVG".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "ACTUALAVG (Measure)", with name of "ACTUALAVG".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "Prod (Dimension)", with name of "Prod".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "Geo (Dimension)", with name of "Geo".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "Prod (Hierarchy)", with name of "Prod".
WARN - Unable to find replacement for "Geo (Hierarchy)", with name of "Geo".
These warnings might appear even if the Import SAS Package Wizard indicates that the information map was successfully imported. Because you are not required to import the physical resources before importing the information map, an imported information map with unresolved resources is still considered to be successful. For example, you might choose to import the information map first and then re-create the associated cube.
In addition, when you open the imported information map in SAS® Information Map Studio 4.2, you might see the following message:
One or more of the resources for the information map is unresolved.
Unresolved resources and related information map items are designated on the Design tab.
For more information about unresolved resources and how to restore them, click Help.
If this message appears, then one or more or the data items in the information map will display with a red x as shown in the following image:
To restore the unresolved resources, select Tools ► Resource Replacement and specify the cube on the target machine that you want to associate with the imported information map. In the following example, the original cube reference, PRDSAL2, is being replaced with a reference to a cube that is named timecube.
Note: For more information about resource replacement, select Help ► SAS Information Map Studio Help.
Note: If the target environment contains a cube with the same name and structure as the cube that is referenced by the imported information map, then the resources should be restored automatically when you first open the information map.
