Usage Note 35081: User-defined formats used with the PUT() function in an SQL statement cause an error in SASĀ® Scalable Performance Data Server
Prior to SAS Scalable Performance Data Server 4.4 TSM8, if you
use a user-defined format with the PUT() function in an SQL statement,
the following error occurs:
SPDS_ERROR: Format XXX could not be loaded.
This functionality is now available when connecting from a
Windows SAS Scalable Performance Data Server client (32- or 64-bit)
to a UNIX platform running the SAS Scalable Performance Data
Server, or when the client and server are both on the same platform.
Note, however, that you cannot use the PUT() function and user-defined
format from a non-Windows client to a different server platform.
As a workaround, use the FORMAT= statement.
