Usage Note 35058: F format might cause problems when using an information map that accesses third-party data
If the original source of a data item has a numeric format specified such as 8., then the default format for the data item in SAS Information Map Studio will be F, which writes standard numeric data one digit per byte.
The F format might cause problems when accessing third-party data.
If you experience problems, you can take one of the following actions:
- In SAS Information Map Studio, on the Classification/Formats properties tab for the data item, change the format to Default.
- In SAS Management Console, open the metadata properties for the table and change the column's format to (None), and then re-add the column to the information map.
