Usage Note 35058: F format might cause problems when using an information map that accesses third-party data
If the original source of a data item has a numeric format specified such as 8.
, then the default format for the data item in SAS Information Map Studio will be F, which writes standard numeric data one digit per byte.
The F format might cause problems when accessing third-party data.
If you experience problems, you can take one of the following actions:
- In SAS Information Map Studio, on the Classification/Formats properties tab for the data item, change the format to Default.
- In SAS Management Console, open the metadata properties for the table and change the column's format to (None), and then re-add the column to the information map.
