Problem Note 35027: The SAS® Stored Process Web Application Welcome page is displayed instead of the Property Page if the browser is left open after creating PDF output
The Welcome page for the SAS Stored Process Web Application might display instead of expected SAS® Stored Process results if the following scenario is met:
- A SAS Stored Process producing PDF output is executed, with results displayed in a new browser window.
- The browser window containing the PDF output is left open.
- Another SAS Stored Process is executed from the Web application (that is, the SAS® Information Delivery Portal or SAS Stored Process Web Application) with Display results in a new window? set to Yes (the default) and HTTP Method set to Post (the default) in the Execution Options.
With SAS® 9.2 only, this can occur if the url for the SAS Stored Process that is executed after the PDF is displayed includes _action=properties,newwindow,post.
You can avoid this issue by following any of these steps:
- Close the browser window that contains the PDF results before submitting another SAS Stored Process.
- Select No for Display results in a new window? when executing subsequent SAS Stored Processes.
- Select Get for HTTP Method when executing subsequent SAS Stored Processes.
- In SAS 9.2 only, do not use _action=newwindow,post when executing subsequent SAS Stored Processes.
See SAS Usage Note 35585 for instructions on how to change the default values for the Display results in a new window and HTTP Method execution options for all SAS Stored Processes.
