The SEND_ALERT_REMINDER macro generates an error message if the e-mail address contains special characters, including hyphens, apostrophes, and so on. An example of the error message is as follows:
SYMBOLGEN: Macro variable REMINDER_EMAIL_ADDRESS resolves to Mary.Allan- Smith@abcbank.com ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition where a numeric operand is required. The condition was: &reminder_email_address ne and &reminder_delete_ind = N SYMBOLGEN: Macro variable REMINDER_DELETE_IND resolves to N ERROR: The macro SEND_ALERT_REMINDER will stop executing.
