Problem Note 34905: E-mail accounts containing a hyphen generate an error message and no e-mail reports are sent after an Emerging Issues Analytic or Automated run

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

For the Analytic and Automated alert categories of Emerging Issues, e-mail addresses that contain a hyphen (-) cause an error. The log file will contain an error message such as:

ERROR: A character operand was found in the %EVAL function or %IF condition where a numeric
operand is required. The condition was:
&l_email^=
ERROR: The condition in the %DO %WHILE loop, &l_email^=, yielded an invalid or missing
value. The macro will stop executing.
ERROR: The macro ANL_EIANALYTICALERT will stop executing.

As a result of this error, no e-mail notifications of alerts will be sent.

A workaround is to use only e-mail addresses that do not contain hyphens.
