Usage Note 34777: Projects are missing when expanding Open Project Menu
These instructions apply to a single user (Personal Workstation) installation of SAS® Enterprise Miner™.
If you have to reinstall SAS Enterprise Miner, make sure you uncheck SAS Configuration Wizard during the installation. If you reran the SAS Configuration Wizard, your existing SAS Enterprise Miner projects will be deleted from your Metadata Repository. However, if the physical files still exist on the operating system, you can restore your SAS Enterprise Miner projects.

After your reinstall:
1. Log on to SAS Enterprise Miner.
2. Click on Open Project.
3. Expand your server list and you will see an empty project list if the
projects have been removed from metadata.
If the physical project files still exist, you can restore the missing metadata by following these instructions:
Note: Make sure to have a good backup of the project files before proceeding.
1. Log on to SAS Enterprise Miner.
2. Click on New Project.
3. In the "Name" field, give the project the exact same name as your original project.
4. Point the "Path" to your exact existing physical location.
For Example:
If your original project had the name "Test" and the original project path was "C:\Temp", the physical project will be located in "C:\Temp\Test".
To re-create the project in the above case, the new project name will be "Test" and the path should still be C:\Temp.
This will recreate the metadata about the project and also pull in all of the existing information from the original project.
It is very important that the name and path are EXACTLY the same as the original information. Otherwise, the steps above will not be successful.
