In SAS 9.2, TS1M0, the following error occurs when you use Help after a successful installation of the SAS Remote Browser Server:
HELP error, connection to remote browser server failed
This error might indicate that there is a firewall that is blocking access.
For SAS 9.2, TS1M0, apply the associated hot fix available from the Hot Fix tab at the top of this note.
In addition to applying the hot fix, add the following environment variables to data set prefix.TKMVSENV(TKMVSENV). The ports that you specify in this range must be opened up in your firewall. The following example demonstrates how to assign ports 6000 through 6005:
For SAS 9.2, TS2M0, you can circumvent this problem by setting the new SAS system options HTTPSERVERPORTMIN and HTTPSERVERPORTMAX. The ports that are defined in these options must be opened in your firewall.
