Usage Note 34499: The SAS ODBC driver does not return a full connect string upon successful completion
DataFlux® dfPower Studio 8.0 has the ability to store ODBC connection information so that you are not always prompted for a user ID and password each time the connection is used.
The DataFlux user is unable to save the connection information when accessing a connection that was created with the SAS® 9.1.3 ODBC driver. SAS ODBC driver doesn't return a full connect string back to the client upon successful completion. The fifth parameter to SQLDriverConnect should contain the full connect string upon completion. It contains only the DSN portion of the connect string with the added semicolon. In order for DataFlux products to store connection information on a user basis for SAS ODBC connections, full connect strings must be returned from the driver.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Additionally, as a workaround, you can set the user ID and password in the SAS ODBC connection configuration itself.
