Usage Note 34396: How to create a desktop icon for starting SAS® Enterprise Miner™ using Java Web Start
The icon to start SAS Enterprise Miner using Java Web Start is created by default the first time you access SAS Enterprise Miner via the web. However, you can also follow the steps below to create the icon.
- Open Java Webstart Application Manager via Start ► Programs ► Java web start ► Java web start
- Click File ► Preferences ► Shortcut tab
- Make sure "Never integrate java applications into the desktop" is
not selected. Select either one of the other two options.
If you do not have administrator rights you might not have Java Web Start in Programs. To start Java Webstart Application Manager, use Windows Explorer to navigate to the default install location, Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_09\javaws, and double click javaws.
