Usage Note 34263: Log files that are useful when diagnosing problems with SAS® Stored Process Server in SAS 9.13
When diagnosing SAS® Stored Process Server problems in SAS® 9.13, the following log files provide useful information:
- The Object Spawner log file.
The objspawn.log file is in a location that is similar to the following:
.../Lev1/SASMain/ObjectSpawner/logs/objspawn.log
Consult SAS Note 15992 for information regarding creation of a detailed Object Spawner log file.
- The most current SAS Stored Process Server log files.
There should be a current log file for each of the processes that are executed on the SAS Stored Process Server. For example, if you are running such processes on ports 8611, 8621 and 8631, then there should be a current log file for each of these processes.
The Stored Precess Server log files are in the following location:
.../Lev1/SASMain/StoredProcessServer/logs/
You should specify the applevel=3 option in order for your SAS Stored Process Server to create detailed SAS Stored Process Server log files.
To enable the applevel=3 option, perform the following steps:
- Open SAS® Management Console and select Server Manager.
- Select your SAS Stored Process Server and drill down to the lowest level (for example,
SASMain - Stored Process Server).
- Right-click Properties.
- In the Properties window, select the Options tab.
- In the Object Server Parameters field, specify applevel=3.
- Save your changes.
- Restart your Object Spawner to activate the changes for your SAS Stored Process Server.
