SAS Space Planning 5.11 Hot Fix 1 includes refinements to product placement, facings adjustment, and scoring logic in the optimization algorithm. In addition, the following problems, which were identified subsequent to the SAS Space Planning 5.11 release in September 2008, have been resolved:

• Refining the scoring logic of the optimization algorithm
• A timeout error occurs when running the planogramgenerator
• A crash occurs when retrieving images from am HTTP or FTP server
• VFC graphics do not display images from an HTTP or FTP server
• Max_units_high at the subassortment level is not saved to the planogram
• The generator message is unclear
• The p_copy_replan procedure copys planograms incorrectly
• An error occurs in space optimizer upgrade scripts
• Failure Code 23 does not handle shelf overuse or underuse errors
• Section-level fill policy does not handle a value of -1
• Changing the vertical placement of shelves seems to change the placement of products on the composite POG
