User-defined formats that are associated with columns in drill-through or external aggregation tables must exist in a catalog that is available to the SAS OLAP Server.

You can define format catalogs to the SAS OLAP Server by using the FMTSEARCH option. Depending on your version of SAS^®, see the following documentation for more information about the FMTSEARCH option:

Here are some error messages that you might see if a user-defined format is not available to the SAS OLAP Server:

• An Exception has been thrown while attempting to get Show Detail results.
• Unable to display detail data.
• The immediate MDX execution failed.
• The format <format name> was not found or could not be loaded.
