Usage Note 34801: Checking SAS® Stored Process Server ports using the SAS®Integration Technologies Configuration Utility
The SAS Integration Technologies Configuration Utility (which is available on the Windows platform) can be used to check the status of specific SAS Stored Process Server
process ports. For example, you can determine if a SAS Stored Process Server process is running on port 8621.
Here are the steps:
- If you are running SAS® 9.1.3, then on your Windows desktop, select:
Start ► Programs ► SAS ► SAS 9.1 Utilities ► Integration Technologies Configuration
If you are running SAS® 9.2, then select:
Start ► Programs ► SAS ► SAS 9.2 License Renewal and Utilities ► Integration Technologies Configuration
- In your SAS Integration Technologies Configuration window
select the Test Connection checkbox.
Then, click Next at the bottom of the window.
- In the Choose How to Test window, select Retrieve logical server definitions from the currently
configured metadata server. Then, click Next.
- At the top of the Test window, select the
Logical Name of
the SAS Stored Process Server that you want to test.
For example "SASMain – Logical Stored Process Server".
- For Port Number, enter 8621.
You can also enter another port such as 8611 or 8631 to
test another SAS Stored Process Server process port.
- Accept the default values for the other parameters
including the Protocol value of Bridge.
- Click Test at the bottom
of the window.

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The SAS Integration Technologies Configuration Utility can be used to check the status of specific SAS Stored Process Server process ports. For example, you can determine if a SAS Stored Process Server process is running on port 8621.
