Problem Note 34719: Importing a large SAS® Stored Process into a SAS® Metadata Repository might fail
Importing a SAS package file that contains a large SAS® Stored Process might fail and cause the following error to be written to the import log file:
ERROR - An error occurred during the import process. Reason:
org.omg.CORBA.UNKNOWN vmcid: 0x0 minor code: 0 completed: No
The import will fail when the source code for a SAS Stored Process has a record length greater than the default record length for the SAS Workspace Server.
To circumvent the problem, perform the following steps:
- Increase the default LRECL= SAS system option in the sasv9_usermods.cfg file in the workspace server directory. For SAS 9.2 and beyond you can use the new SAS system option of LRECL= to specify a range of 1-32767 for a record length. The default for the LRECL= system option is 256.
- Restart the SAS Object Spawner.
