Problem Note 34342: An incorrect count is returned when updating counts on a Select node referencing an interval item
When updating counts within a Select node, the incorrect count is returned if the node is fed directly from an upstream Cell node (implicit AND) and the underlying field type is Interval.
For example, if your diagram contains the following nodes:
(Select Age <= 27) -> Cell -> (Select Age <= 28)
and you open the Age <= 28 Dialog Box and select Update Counts, the Count returned will be too high. It should be the same as the count on the upstream Cell.
To work around this problem, use an explicit, rather than implicit, AND:
Select Age <= 27) -> Cell -> AND <- (Select Age <= 28)
The AND node will have the correct count.
