In SAS^® 9.1.3, if you use FTP (file transfer protocol) to send a transport file that is created by the CPORT procedure, the following message might appear in your SAS log:

This circumstance occurs because of a timing issue between the FTP access methods file exist lookup(fexist) routine and the Microsoft FTP server. Microsoft is currently the only known FTP server that encounters this timing issue that results in the 426 message.

The following sample code causes the error:
