Problem Note 34194: "Error: Object Required" when running SASĀ® Enterprise Guide in batch
Running VBScript code manually, or through Windows Scheduler, in order to execute SAS Enterprise Guide in batch might generate the following error:

This problem can occur for different reasons. For example, it can happen if SEGUIDE.exe is not installed in the default folder.
To circumvent the problem, follow these steps:
- Reboot and log in under the machine's local administrator account.
- Click Start ► Programs ► Command Prompt.
- Change directories (
Cd ..
) until you see <C:\>
- Change to the path where
SEGuide.exe
is installed.
- Enter the following command:
seguide.exe /register
- Create a new project, and then test the batch process.
