Usage Note 33579: Signing on or off to a host with SAS/CONNECT® software might fail after about 200 successful attempts

The following error might occur, even after you have signed on or off with SAS/CONNECT software with about 200 successful attempts:

ERROR: A communication subsystem partner link setup request failure 
has
occurred.
ERROR: TCP link establishment failed.
ERROR: Remote signon to HOST.XXXX canceled.

If you include the –VERBOSE option to the spawner, you can see the following traceback information in the spawner log:

This problem occurs because the quota for the spawner program (sastcpd) page file is too low.

The only workaround at this time is to restart the spawner or consult your system administrator about increasing the page-file quota on your operating system to enable the spawner to run longer between restart times.
