Problem Note 33278: Some scenarios might truncate party, account, or branch numbers when the sourced data contains blanks
In some scenarios, the code makes lists of certain variables using a space as
a separator. If you source the data with spaces in these data
fields, the use of scan functions could provide incorrect or no matches.
The following fields are affected:
- Party_number
- Account_number
- Street_state_code
- Branch_number
The following scenarios might generate this behavior:
- sas10001.sas
- sas10011.sas
- sas10012.sas
- sas10015.sas
- sas10016.sas
- sas10017.sas
- sas10026.sas
- sas10027.sas
- sas10028.sas
- sas10029.sas
- sas10083.sas
Click the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the fix for this issue.
When you apply the hot fix, a semi-colon, rather than a blank, is used as a delimiter between the concatenated variables in a list.

For software releases that are not yet generally available, the Fixed
Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
If there are spaces in the parameter data, then truncation might occur to the party, account, or branch numbers. If this occurs, then the scenario might generate erroneous results.
