If you are running SAS Enterprise Miner on a terminal server via Java Web Start and invoke SAS Enterprise Miner Tree Desktop Application from the Decision Tree node property panel, SAS Enterprise Miner might unexpectedly shut down.

The only userid that will be able to start SAS Enterprise Miner Tree Desktop Application correctly only is the user that installed the software.

To work around the problem, bypass the Java Web Start. To so this, install the SAS Enterprise Miner Java Client directly on the terminal server. After you log on to the terminal server, open SAS Enterprise Miner by going to Start ► Programs ► SAS ► SAS Enterprise Miner 5.3 ► Enterprise Miner.
