Installation Note 33803: An installation failure message appears when you are installing SAS® 9.2 (TS1M0) on a Windows system

When you install SAS 9.2 (TS1M0) on the Windows platform, the following message appears in the Installshield dialog box:
Stage 2: Installation 1. Java Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment
A message box appears with this error message:
Install Failure A problem was encountered while installing: Java Platform Standard Edition Runtime Environment Subsequent install steps may fail unless this problem is resolved. Would you like to continue with the remaining installs? No/Yes/ Yes to All/ Retry
To correct this behavior, install the Java Runtime Environment (JRE) outside of SAS: Choose the installation that is the same as your operating system and run the following from your SAS Software Depot:

Once you have installed the proper JRE, start the installation.
