The new XML92 LIBNAME engine available in SAS 9.2 is considered pre-production in this release. Many of the newer features of the XML engine were added to this new XML92 engine in SAS 9.2. The new features of this XML92 engine includes the ability to create an XML file based on a map for a single data set, the ability to generate a web service, and more. There are some known problems with the XML92 engine, and you can contact Technical Support for more details. Beginning with SAS 9.2 TS2M0, there will be a note in the SAS Log indicating the pre-production status of the XML92 engine.
