Installation Note 33740: RegAsm.exe, SEGuide.exe, RegTasks.exe, and sdsdbmnt.exe errors might occur when you are installing SAS® Foundation or SAS® Enterprise Guide®
You might receive errors when you are installing SAS Foundation 9.1.3 or SAS Enterprise Guide 4.1. The following errors occur at the end of the installation when the shared components are being installed:

When one of the errors above is displayed, the DOS window in the background shows .NET Framework 1.1 in the title bar. You might also see the SAS installation screen with the SAS shared components being installed.
To resolve these errors, perform the following steps:
- Cancel the installation.
- Open the Control Panel.
- Under Add or Remove Programs, uninstall the program that failed during installation, either SAS Foundation or SAS Enterprise Guide.
- Uninstall any instances of .NET Framework that you have installed.
- Reboot your computer.
- Run the system requirements from the System Requirements Wizard CD or from the SAS Software Depot.
- To run the system requirements from the SAS Software Depot, go to the srwizard1cd directory and run setup.exe.
- Reboot the system if prompted.
- Reinstall either SAS Foundation or SAS Enterprise Guide, depending on which one you uninstalled in step 3, without using the SAS® Software Navigator.
- To install SAS Foundation, run setup.exe from the disk1 directory or insert the SAS Setup CD. Make sure that you can start SAS after the installation is complete.
- To install SAS Enterprise Guide, run setup.exe from the client8cd directory or insert the SAS Enterprise Guide CD. Make sure that you can start SAS Enterprise Guide after the installation is complete.
