Usage Note 33381: A Netezza table cannot have the same name as the Netezza database
A Netezza table cannot have the same name as the Netezza database. This is a Netezza-specific behavior. If you have a Netezza table with the same name as your database, an error occurs. For example, suppose you submit the following code to create a new Netezza table called TEST in the Netezza database, which is also named TEST:
libname user netezza server=server-name user=user-id
password=password
db=test preserve_tab_names=no
preserve_col_names=no;
data user.test;
set work.test;
run;
This code returns the following error, and it might also cause the database to crash:
ERROR: CLI error trying to establish connection:
ERROR: pg_aclcheck: object "test", incorrect type.
If the database crashes after an attempt to create such a table, contact your Netezza database administrator.
