When installing SAS® Enterprise Miner™ and SAS® Model Manager on an AIX platform that has a WebSphere web application server, the following errors might occur during SAS Configuration:
The socket bind failed for host * and port 9090. The port may already be in use.
This error might occur when the default WebSphere port of 9090 is used during the SAS Configuration, and the port is in use by another application.
To work around the problem, change the default from 9090 to some other port that is available during the configuration.
