Usage Note 33291: The wrong viewer might be used when viewing reports from the SAS® Information Delivery Portal
When you change the default viewer in the SAS Information Delivery Portal from the SAS® Web Report Viewer to SAS® Web Report Studio, this change sometimes does not occur and the original SAS Web Report Viewer is still used.
This problem occurs when you make a copy of the PortalContent.xml file prior to editing it to reflect the new viewer and rename the copy with an .xml extension. Any XML file that is located in the same directory is read as if it were the active file.
The PortalContent.xml file is located in the following directory:
SAS-install-dir\Web\Portal2.0.1\Portal\WEB-INF\content
You can also find the PortalContent.xml file in the deployment location for your servlet container. If you use Tomcat, for example, the file is in the following directory:
\tomcat\webapps\Portal\WEB_INF\content
To correct the problem, either delete the copy of the PortalContent.xml file or rename the .xml extension.
