Problem Note 32840: "ERROR: Name is not unique!" when running a stored process with PROC REPORT in SAS® Add-In for Microsoft Office
SAS Add-In for Microsoft Office might generate the following error message when running an stored process with PROC REPORT:
ERROR: Name is not unique!
This error is most
likely to occur when the column statement in PROC REPORT has a variable listed
more than once and SAS Add-in for Microsoft Office results type is set to SAS Report. For example,
a PROC REPORT column statement that looks like the following would cause the
problem:
COL age age=age_mean age=age_max;
|
As a workaround, you can create separate variables for every repeated variable on the COLUMN statement.
For example, if you have a column that is called Age, then you could create two columns in this way:
Data new; Set sashelp.class; Mean_of_age=age; Max_of_age=age; Run;
|
In your column statement for PROC REPORT, you can then use the following:
COL age Mean_of_age Max_of_age;
|
