Problem Note 32796: An incorrect error message is sometimes generated when using MODE=Teradata

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

The following error sometimes occurs when you use MODE=Teradata with SQL Pass-Through to Teradata:

"Syntax error: COMMIT WORK not allowed for a DBC/SQL session"

A COMMIT is issued after the prepare when MODE=Teradata is used. Teradata returns an error message to indicate that COMMIT is not allowed in Teradata mode. This error message is then buffered; if any subsequent error occurs, this error message is displayed instead of the error message associated with the actual error.
