When you run a recurrent communication in SAS® Customer Intelligence Studio, it should publish all occurrences to the common data model (CDM). However, only one record is created in the table CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT (and it corresponds to the first occurrence of the communication.
Every occurrence of a communication should have a COMMUNICATION_SK value and each instance of the COMMUNICATION_SK should be present in the CI_COMMUNICATION_EXT table.
