During installation of Base SAS, the following error might occur after you insert the SAS Setup Disk and select a language:

   Run time error 481 - invalid picture

Run-time error 481 usually refers to a problem that occurs when the system loads a bitmapped file.

To work around this problem:

1. Navigate to the SRW folder In the root directory of the SAS Setup disk.
2. Double-click the setup.exe file and run the System Requirements Wizard.
3. Navigate to the SAS folder in the root directory of the SAS Setup disk.
4. Double-click the setup.exe file and complete the installation of Base SAS.

These steps bypass the Autorun screen and its image files and run the Systems Requirements Wizard and the SAS Setup Wizard directly.

Another possible workaround is to change the following Windows display settings in the Control Panel:

• Resolution = 800X600
• Background = None
