Some IP failures leave orphaned database connections if CONNECTION=UNIQUE is specified in the LIBNAME statement.
The problem only occurs in SAS® 9.2c. When the IP fails in SAS 9.2c, the IP does not call the disconnect routine. As a result, the connection remains open after the failure.
This problem has been fixed in SAS 9.2.
