Problem Note 32546: Using the IN: operator in 9.2 might generate incorrect results

The IN: operator might not find valid matches. In the sample below, the addition of the space on the first argument causes the second not to match:

    data _null_;
      input var1 $8.;
      if var1 in: ('ABC ','AB') then
      put 'match';
    datalines;
    ABCDEF
    ;
    run;
