Problem Note 32280: The JDBC driver in SAS® software returns the wrong date and time values for the GMT time zone
The date and time returned by the SAS JDBC driver is incorrect when the time zone is set to GMT. The date returned is one hour earlier than the correct date. For example, if the date and time is midnight on 1 June 08, the time returned would be 11:00 p.m. 31 May 08.
The date and time discrepancy can occur in user-written Java programs that use the SAS JDBC driver when the client program is running on a machine set to the GMT time zone.
It can also occur in SAS® Web Report Studio when Graphs have a time axis, and the server is hosted on a machine set to GMT.
Select the Hot Fix tab in this note to access the hot fix for this issue.
Until you install the hot fix, a viable workaround is to change the time zone of the machine to GMT+1. The downside of making this change is that all other applications on that machine will then use a time and date that is shifted by one hour.
