Usage Note 32198: SAS® Web Report Studio does not support using the browser's Back, Forward, or Refresh buttons
In SAS Web Report Studio, use of the browser's Back, Forward, or Refresh buttons are not supported.
For example, if you use the Back button, you will get unexpected results when performing the following tasks:
- re-entering prompt values (see SAS Note 30963)
- navigating linked reports
- returning to a previous drill state
- navigating between sections
To correctly perform these tasks, do the following:
- Click the Refresh Data link (release 3.1) or select Data ► Refresh Data (release 4.2 and later) to redisplay the prompt window. Then, enter your new values.
- Click the Return to previous report link to return to the previous report.
- Use the drill icon in the table to return to a previous drill state.
- Use the section tabs (release 3.1) or the Table of Contents (release 4.2 and later).
As another example, when you click the Refresh button (or you press the keyboard equivalent F5), SAS Web Report Studio might resubmit your log in information, and the performance of the application might generally decrease. To correctly refresh the display, select Data ► Refresh Data.
Note: For additional related information about the consequences of using browser functions, see SAS Note 34382 and SAS Note 42209.
