Problem Note 32186: The Export and Import feature in SAS® Data Integration Studio or SAS® Management Console might change the order of columns in some objects

DetailsHotfixAboutRate It

Using the Copy, Paste, Paste Special, or Export and Import functions for partial promotion in SAS Data Integration Studio or SAS Management Console might change the order of columns in certain objects.

Special merging support that was added to SAS Data Integration Studio in hot fix 34databldr07 introduced a problem in which after promoting a job, the order of columns that were defined in a transformation or mapping reverted to the order of those columns as defined in the source table. For example, a generated transformation has a Column Option list defined. If the order in which the columns are selected by the user is significant, such as to be resolved in a BY statement, then the results of the transformation code could be incorrect or errors could occur depending on what the transformation is designed to do.
