Problem Note 32170: Expanding a folder or library within the SAS® Data Integration Studio tree views can become inhibitively slow as the number of objects increases

In SAS Data Integration Studio, expanding a folder in the Custom tree or Libraries in the Inventory tree view can take several minutes if they contain thousands of objects. To work around this problem, create groups using the Custom tree view to organize your objects into smaller subsets.

A new option in SAS Data Integration Studio 4.2 and hot fix 34databldr08 for 3.4 will enable users to change the default behavior to not search for icon decoration in objects such as tables and jobs. This option, when not checked, will significantly enhance performance when you expand these folders.
