Problem Note 32096: ERROR "SAS Error Event: Error sending status, 1, to SCM. Error 6: The handle is invalid." occurs when stopping the SAS® Metadata Server

If you are running your SAS Metadata Server as a service on a Microsoft Windows platform, you might observe the following error in the Windows Event Viewer when you stop the service:
SAS Error Event: Error sending status, 1, to SCM. Error 6: The handle is
invalid.
The server will stop successfully eventually, and can be restarted without incident.
