Usage Note 32782: ERROR: "Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB specification"
The following error will be given when the properties of an OLE DB connection
string are specified incorrectly:
"Format of the initialization string does not conform to the OLE DB
specification"
The following SAS IOM Provider connection string would fail with the above
error because the Protocol property value, ProtocolBridge, is not excepted:
cn.ConnectionString = "Provider=SAS.IOMProvider.1;Data Source=test;
SAS Machine DNS Name=foo.na.sas.com;SAS Port=8591;
SAS Protocol=ProtocolBridge; User ID=sasdemo;Password=sasdemopwd"
To correct the problem, use the enumeration for ProtocolBridge:
cn.ConnectionString = "Provider=SAS.IOMProvider.1;Data Source=test;
SAS Machine DNS Name=foo.na.sas.com;SAS Port=8591;
SAS Protocol=2;User ID=sasdemo;Password=sasdemopwd"

Release is the software release in which the problem is planned to be
fixed.
The enumeration for ProtocolBridge should be passed for the SAS IOM Provider's Protocol property when making an OLE DB connection using a connection string or a connection object's ConnectionString property.
