When you use DDE to access Microsoft Excel, the following error might appear after appling hot fix bundle E9BX03 to SAS 9.1.3:

ERROR: Physical file does not exist, excel|system.

To circumvent the problem, add a SLEEP function before the next DDE commands, as shown below:

   x=sleep(3);
run;
