Usage Note 32505: In SASĀ® 9.1.3, running the SAS Configuration Wizard in silent mode under UNIX is not supported
Running the SAS Configuration Wizard in silent mode is not supported on a UNIX platform.
Thus, you might encounter problems when running the SAS Configuration Wizard in silent mode during
a planned installation on a UNIX host platform.
Because of these issues, a silent mode planned deployment under a UNIX environment will not be functional.
Some specific issues that might arise include the following:
On the Server, Client and Middle Tiers: You might notice that the SASMCROOT path (pointing to
SAS® Management Console) in the
.../Lev1/Utilities/MetadataDeployment/bin/LoadMetadata.sh script file is incorrect.
On the Metadata Tier: The configuration.properties file (used to provide the responses
to the prompts) might not include properties for the SASDEMO and SASGUEST identities.
It assumes those users are always called SASDEMO and SASGUEST. Also,
you might notice that regardless of the name provided in the properties file, an
Application Server called SASMain might be created and used for the SAS® Metadata Server.
On the Middle Tier: The configuration.properties file does not include the SAS Administrator credentials. Therefore,
the LoadMetadata.sh script does not include the proper SAS Administrator credentials. Also, the
SAS® Web OLAP Viewer for Java might not get configured.
